Hello, my name is Michael P. Murphy

With a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, CPT certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and most recently a doctorate degree from the National Academy of Health Sciences.s

I have conducted over 1000 exercise sessions that have varied from 1-1, 2-1 and group classes.

As a former athelte, I know what its like to fall from grace, and through that experience as well as my education I made a commitment to helping others revive atrophied hobbies that used to bring them joy, return athletes to play, or assist those simply wanting to achieve their “best body.”

From an early age athletics, compeition, and academics were a passions of mine.

On the athletic side, my sport of choice was ice hockey which taught me self-discpline, hard-work, and future planning. It also enabled me to win multiple state championships, be named to the Illinois All-State Men’s Hockey team and attend the U15 USA Player Development camp in Minneosta.

However, personal injury halted my pursuit in professional sports.

Nonetheless I am forever thankful for this game and it has remained a orbital aspect of my life for nearly 30 years whether through playing or coaching.

On the academic side, I began my academic training at Joliet Junior College in 2011 where I completed general education credits with the aim of obtaining a professional degree in physical therapy.

I challened that competitive drive hockey had allowed me to develop and re-aligned it into my studies, and maintained a B-average during my undergraduate years.

When I first enrolled, I wanted to discover a non-phamalogical based means to promote health, well being and human performance.

The closest thing to that was Biology, the study of life.

Shortly after my professional studies began, I accepted employment to work as an exercise specialist and therapy bay assistant for two chiropractic physicians

This mentorship changed my trajectory from physical therapy to chiropractic. After introduced to the text called becoming a supple lepoard I became obsessed with human mobility and the concept of joint centration. This lead me to the study of kinesiology which is the study of movement.
